My trip to Ghana
Let me tell you a bit of my trip: how I got there, where I went, where I stayed and how I spent days in Ghana... I left for Ghana on April 22nd, arrived in England and stayed there one night. On that next day, I took another flight to get to Ghana. I was staying in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, with my friend Pat at her uncle's place. We always get together with our good friend, Danny, who owns a barbering shop in Madina. It takes about 20 minutes from where I stayed. I experienced new things almost everyday and those were great! Some things there are different from what I have back home in Japan, but that is the best part of traveling, you know? Experiencing new things is even much more powerful than absorbing knowledge from a textbook! In this web site, you'll see some of my photo works I took in Ghana and I am hoping that those works can tell you how much I enjoyed being there, especially to meet people and new friends living there. I was going to stay there only for 4 weeks, but decided to stay longer and stayed there about 7 weeks. I left the lovely country on June 3rd and got home in Japan on June 5th.

What this word "Obroni" means...
In Ghana, they speak several languages because of the tribes. I learned some words and sentences of some of those native languages. Some were easy and some were hard. Anyway, there was one word I had learned in Japan before I went to Ghana and it was "Obroni". (I learned it through the Internet but first I couldn't remember it, so I thought it was "Onibro"... anyway anyway...) Okay, "Obroni" means "White Person". In almost of all Internet sites about Ghana, especially the ones owned by the people who have ever been to Ghana before, they talk about their experiences in the country, what "Obroni" means and how often they've heard that word! Anyway, that is how I learned that word even before I went there. Oh yeah, the other thing I had learned was that people in Ghana are sooo friendly...after my experience in Ghana, now I can tell you that is TRUE, very very True!!

I'd love to thank all people I met in Ghana, whom I had friendly chats with,
who made me smile and laugh, who gave me warm welcomes. Thank YOU
very much! My days in Ghana were much brighter because I met you!!

And I'd also love to thank all my friends who were patiently waiting for me in Japan and
all dear friends around the world.
My next destination can be YOUR country/place so watch out...!!!(c:(c:
